Controller drifting? The doctor will see it today.
I repair DualSense and Xbox Series controllers: drift, buttons, triggers, ports and batteries. I also fit TMR sticks that end stick drift for good. I usually repair your controller and ship it back on the day it arrives, so all you wait for is the courier.
Patient record #K7Q2X9
ExampleThe dashed line is your hand, the coloured line is the in-game crosshair. With drift the crosshair shakes and jumps off the line. After the TMR upgrade it follows smoothly.

What patients come in with
Stick drift
Your character walks on its own or the camera wanders. I replace the analog module or upgrade straight to TMR.
Buttons and D-pad
Sticky, double-clicking or dead buttons, worn contacts under the rubber pads.
L2 and R2 triggers
DualSense adaptive triggers, springs, motors, stuck resistance.
USB-C port and charging
Loose port, no charging, or charging only at an angle.
Battery
Lasts an hour instead of several. I fit a new cell.
Cleaning and diagnosis
Spilled drinks, sticky buttons, odd behaviour with no clear cause.
Every controller is different, so I quote after you describe the fault or after diagnosis. I work on DualSense and Xbox Series. Ask about other controllers too.
Upgrade · DualSense, Edge and Xbox Series
TMR sticks: the end of stick drift
Stock sticks measure position with a potentiometer: a wiper rubs along a carbon track and slowly wears it down. That is where drift comes from. A TMR sensor (tunnel magnetoresistance) reads the position of a magnet without any contact, so there is nothing to wear out.
| Potentiometer | TMR | |
|---|---|---|
| Sensing | Mechanical contact | Magnetic, contactless |
| Drift over time | Develops | Does not occur |
| Precision at small movements | Needs a large deadzone | Minimal deadzone |
| Power draw | Low | Low, comparable |

DualSense Edge · set of two modules

The Edge has swappable stick modules, so you do not need to send the whole controller. Pop out both modules and ship them, I fit Favor Union TMR, test them in an Edge and send them back ready to click in, with a patient record. Return shipping and a 12-month warranty included.

Every controller goes through the same protocol
A repair does not end with swapping a part. Your controller comes back measured, calibrated and fully tested, and everything I did is recorded on its own patient record.
Measured before and after
The chart shows how your controller came in and how it left. No “should be fine”.
Calibrated for shooters
I target about 5% circularity error, so diagonals reach full range and aiming stays precise.
10 discharge checks
Buttons, sticks, triggers, gyro, touchpad, lights, microphone, speaker, vibration and charging. Each one ticked on the record.
12-month TMR warranty
A full year on the TMR sticks, recorded on the patient record behind the NFC tag. No receipt to dig out.

Test your controller
Connect your controller to a computer with a USB cable and press any button. Rotate each stick a few full circles against the edge, then move both sticks gently for a few seconds, as if aiming. Small movements are exactly where drift shows up.
Five quick check-ups: sticks, buttons, triggers, vibration and drift. Connect your controller to a computer via USB and press any button to start.
Drift shows up during small movements: a healthy stick draws a smooth line, while a worn potentiometer adds jitter and sudden reading jumps. More than 1 jump per 10 seconds means it is time for a visit. Circularity error is about range calibration: the target is about 5% (green 3–8%), because a slight overshoot on the diagonals gives full speed when aiming in shooters.

Every repaired controller gets its own record
I place a small NFC tag inside the shell. Tap it with your phone and your controller's page opens: calibration results before and after, the work done and the warranty date. No app needed, works on iPhone and Android.
